Organised by the HKSI, title sponsored by the Shine Tak Foundation, sponsored by the Sports for Hope Foundation (SFHF) and supported by the Sports Federation & Olympic Committee of Hong Kong, China (SF&OC) and the Hong Kong Sports Press Association (HKSPA), the second half of 2025 presentation ceremony of the Outstanding Junior Athletes Awards (OJAA) was held on 22 April to acknowledge the achievements of 189 athletes. Among the awardees, our swimmers HUNG Wing Long and LAU Chiu Yee were crowned the OJAA title. In addition, they were named Most Outstanding Junior Athlete among all the awardees.
With exceptional results achieved at the Bangkok 2025 Virtus Swimming World Championships, Wing Long secured two gold medals in the men’s 200m and 400m individual medley youth group events. As for Chiu Yee, she won 1 silver and 1 bronze medals in the women’s 100m and 50m freestyle events, let alone refreshing both events’ Hong Kong record.
